Slow Food Western Mass is the Slow Food USA Chapter of Western Massachusetts – from the Pioneer Valley to the Berkshires.  There are over 200 Slow Food Chapters in the United States organized by volunteer leaders to carry out the Slow Food mission in their communities. Our chapter offers educational events and activities to promote sustainability and biodiversity, and connect farmers, cooks, educators, students and everyone else who cares about their food and the environment.

In October, 2008, Slow Food Western Mass member, Sam Levin, a student at Monument Mountain Regional High School, in Southern Berkshire County, was invited to speak at Terra Madre about his Project Sprout.
